What an outrage!

Tonight's UA-ASU men's basketball bout at McKale Center was an absolute disgrace of a game.  Neither team shot well.  The whole game was sloppy.  Arizona State -- who won 53-47 -- shot a dismal 28.6% from the floor.  Arizona shot 29.8%.  But as the game wound down, and Arizona was down 47-45 with 12 seconds left, Arizona inbounded for the final shot after a timeout.  Jordan Hill set a pick for Chase Budinger in the good-ol'-fashioned pick-n-roll.  ASU's Jamelle McMillan ran squarely into a completely stationary Hill.  Hill then spun and rolled to the basket, wide open.  But Pac-10 official Dave Libby (right) inexplicably called Hill for AN ILLEGAL SCREEN?!???????  That was one of the worst calls I have ever seen in a college game, and it completely ruined the ending.  After that foul, he then called Arizona assistant coach Mike Dunlap for a technical foul, and ASU never looked back.

Officials should officiate the game, not take it over.  You are a disgrace to the profession, Dave Libby.  If you ever have Arizona on your schedule again, do us all a favor and skip the game.

The situation pictured at left stinks less than your in-game performance.
